Brownie and Sonny

This duo of blues musicians had been performing together for many years by the time they recorded this album on Storyville in 1971.  Surprisingly, it was recorded in Copenhagen.  Brownie plays guitar and Sonny the harmonica, they both sing and there is tremendous interplay between them, as though one always knows what the other is going to do.  The recording has a live feel to it, though there is no audience sound, it seems like a one or two take type of album.  The sound is slightly thin at times, maybe recorded on older 60s style equipment?

So how do I feel about it?  It’s one of those albums that will get occasional plays, but I think I prefer more modern forms of the blues.
