Sutherland Brothers

Sutherland Brothers Lifeboat

Probably better known in a later merger with Quiver, when they had a hit with “Arms of Mary”, this is a fine album from 1972.  There are more than one versions of the album, as some tracks were replaced with others that did include Quiver for the US release.  The most well known track on the UK release has to be an atmospheric recording of their track “Sailing”, later to be slaughtered by Rod as he lost his rock roots and sold out big style!  Can be heard on Spotify.

I recall seeing Sutherland Brothers & Quiver at Reading Festival in 1976, good musicians, worth checking out.
